Paul and Pauline married on the 6th October 1962 in St Saviours Church in London.  This year was to be their diamond wedding anniversary.  Pauline sadly passed away 15 days before we were able to celebrate.  Daughter Louise had lined up an application to the Royal office for a telegram from the Queen, but as we all know, the Queen put a spanner in those works too.  Having had most of their married life with her majesty at the helm, I’m not sure any other royal signature would have been as treasured.
